98% CERTIFIED PAY BACK - HOW IT WORKS - Slot Machine Tips Rate It [ 0.00 / 0 Votes ]
We get a good number of players who want to know how our pay
back percentage is calculated and why their numbers do not
match up with the pay back percentages we announce on
$lotland's pages. Let's go back to school for a moment and
take a little math lesson:

The heart of every slot machine is a random number generator
(RNG) which determines winning combinations on each of
betted paylines. Everybody has the same possibility to win
but the probability of getting a combination with a big
payoff (like three diamonds at the Golden 8 game) is much
more lower than the probability of getting a low payoff. The
random number generator is a most crucial piece of software
in every slot machine as it decides about players' winnings
and games' fairness. Our RNG has been independently tested by
software experts and found to conform with the results of
the RNG found in Atlantic City with respect to randomness
and payout frequency.

An important point to understand is that our RNG fairly pays
out 98% of all bets received. But the 98% is just an overall
average, meaning that the slot is programmed to return 98%
of all the money played, not to each player but to all its
players (many thousands) and in no set pattern or period of
time. Most of these monies go to direct wins but a few
percent points go to our progressive jackpot. For THIS
reason, the most common payback on our slots is something
like 92-95%. There are players who earned over 100% and
others who got below 90% but most of them are getting the
average in the long run. HOWEVER - if you count all the
winnings including jackpot payments and divide by total bets
ever made at $lotland, you will get about 0.98 This is a
normal way how all slot machine providers operate and 98% is
a very good number - many slot machines worldwide pay back
only 90% or less!

Slots Strategy - Tip - Always Look at the Payouts Rate It [ 0.00 / 0 Votes ]
For most machines, the number of coins that you play determines the available payout. If a machine has the option of playing between one and three coins, it is almost always a better choice to play the maximum number of coins possible. The payout table on most machines is designed to give you a better payout if you hit the jackpot with the maximum number of coins. For example, Lucky Lightnin', when playing 5 cent slots, a one coin jackpot pays out $40. If you were to play three coins (the maximum) the payout would be $125, $5 greater than if you were to hit three 5 cent jackpots. In this case, the extra two coins would give an extra 4.2% to your total payout.
