Once you've accumulated a sizable win at the slot machines, and had yourself a good run, the most important thing is to walk away a winner. There is no worse feeling than skulking away from a machine after having lost all your wins back.
The general guidelines it is recommend to put away three fourths or more of your winnings into a "protected" area that you won't touch under any circumstances. That money is bankable, for you won't play it. Whether those wins are put aside as coins in a "no touch zone" plastic bucket, a mental note to shut off after you drop to a certain number of credits, or however you do it, make sure you do it.
Never touch the money you have set a side in your protected zone. Never. Protecting your wins just as Important as limiting your losses. Once the coins or credits are on your side, it's your money, not the casinos. It's yours now. You risked and you won. Great. Now take it home with you and do something fun with it.
